The 13-acre park features two playing fields, an entry plaza, a glass pyramid, trails, a viewing blind, restroom, and bike racks. The major element of the park is the channel that was constructed to create wetlands and wildlife habitat.

This amazing park with the unremarkable name is attached to a wetland/wildlife pond and 75 acre open space natural area, all adjacent to the Platte River. Utilizing concrete artifacts from its industrial origins to complement it's vast grassy swales and native flora, the park is ideal for football, soccer, skateboarding and birdwatching. Kite flying is exceptional, as no large trees or wires encumber the airspace, and a large berm directs the spring winds skyward. In summer, the adjacent Armory cadets practice with their marching band, but there is plenty of room for all. One negative is an occasional whiff of methane from the open utility vent upstream; a condition that should be easily remedied with enough complaints to the right people.
