The winner of our 2008 and 2009 Parents' Picks Award for Best Toy Store in Philadelphia, O'Doodle's offers a world of high-quality toys and books at reasonable prices. O'Doodle's is also home to a wide selection of specialty toys and a large children's book section, including some of the best picture book selections around.

Be sure to check out the "around a dollar" section where small toy and gadget offerings are available for younger kids to play and buy. Salespeople are experienced in gift buying for kids, so if you're looking for gift ideas, they'll know just the thing to get!

O'Doodle's also offers themed children's birthday parties that includes a party activity, a take-home craft, pizza, juice, and use of a party room.

I want this place to be great, and I have tried to like it for years, but it just isn't any good. The selection used to be decent, but recently it seems as though they have whittled their inventory to almost nothing. I can't believe that this store gets voted best of Philadelphia. I live within walking distance of this store and I don't bother to go in.

WOW! What a store - all the best of the new and the traditional - FREE gift wrap saves time and money - Check out all the Great Melissa and Doug Puzzles best variety in the area. The staff actually engages you in conversation too!

This place is amazing! The workers are friendly and helpful, the toys are great for all ages, and they offer free gift wrap, (which is very helpful especially if you're rushing to a birthday party!).

O'Doodle's is a fun and whimsical store! The staff are friendly and give great suggestions for gifts (which they wrap for free!). They have tons of the classic board games you played as a child as well as new and engaging ones. And no video games or electronics, a true toy store! Definately a great place to take the family.

I had heard about this store from a friend in the area, and was anxious to check it out. With husband and toddler in tow, we made the drive from the city center, and were sadly disappointed. The offerings are very limited (although the Corolle doll and Thomas train selections are good). Almost no puzzles, lots of plastic, some standard games that one could find at Target - really nothing that was terribly unique or worth the trip. To boot, the young man at the check-out was singularly unhelpful (bordering on rude). All in all, don't bother.

It was the bubbles and the flying pig that drew us in. Then the selection of unique products took my eye. Then they ask, "Do want that gift wrapped for FREE?" You're darn right I did! This place should be voted the best place for kids' birthday gifts. The staff is in the know when it comes to what's hot for a particular age category. O'Doodles is worth the trip from anywhwere.

O'Doodles has the feel of a family-owned business, unlike the big chains like Toys 'R Us and Target. The toys are unique, as is the Chestnut Hill location. Fortunately, the prices don't reflect the quaintness of environment!!!
