Oakwoods Metropark offers plenty of wooded nature trails, great views of the Huron River, and a nature center sure to please the kids.
The park's paved hiking-biking trail is just three miles in length, but it connects to Willow and Lower Huron Metroparks for a 30-mile round trip. The park also has a five-mile horse trail and another five miles of hiking trails.
The park's nature center has seasonal exhibits, live turtles and snakes, and nature programs, including programs on a 34-foot Voyageur canoe.

Check out the Annual Vehicle Entry Permit; it's good at all Huron-Clinton Metroparks. A Joint Park Pass permits entry to all of the Metroparks and Oakland County Parks.
