The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best day camp program for big kids in Omaha, and Best Day Camp again in 2009, Henry Doorly Zoo - with 130 acres and more than 17,000 birds, mammals, fish, reptiles, invertebrates, and more - is considered by many to be one of the top zoos in the United States.

The zoo is home to a butterfly and insect pavilion, the Wild Kingdom Pavilion, a Cat Complex, the Scott Aquarium and Lied Jungle, the Desert Dome, Kingdoms of the Night, Hubbard Gorilla Valley, and Hubbard Orangutan Forest.

Don't miss the shark tunnel in the aquarium, a cool stroll through a tunnel with water on all sides! And the Education Barn, which houses a number of electronic displays, including a life-size replica of a dairy cow demonstrating the milking process.
