Once Upon a Child is a national chain that buys and sells used and new children's clothing (newborn to size 10), toys, furniture, and equipment. Although all stores use the chain's standardized logo and system, management and store layout tends to vary widely. The Troy store is loaded with drop-off bins and boxes - so much so that it's hard to even get in the front door some days. The Southfield store's racks are extremely over-packed, making it hard to move through hanging items. Many of the stores are a bit cramped, so don't expect to comfortably maneuver a stroller around. On the plus side, these stores have some amazing deals, especially on off-season items. And there are cute public restrooms with diaper changing areas.
