Parents' Picks quest to find the Pittsburgh's
Best Kids' Clothes for Little Kids,
Once Upon a Child is a national franchise sells (and buys) clothing in
sizes newborn to 16, furniture, toys, books, and equipment. The pickings get slimmer as the sizes go up, since kids wear things longer and wear them out, but it's not uncommon to find infant clothing with the tags still on.
Once Upon a Child is also a good place to save on must-haves that have limited use, like raincoats,
Halloween costumes, and things that come in handy to have as spares, such as blankets and
swimsuits. There are usually plenty of Barbie dolls, strollers, and toys for sale, and the store also sells a small selection of new items, such as barrettes.
No appointment is needed to bring things in for resale, but it might pay to call ahead to find out if a wait is likely. The store will
issue a check on the spot (bring photo ID) for those items it accepts if the total is over $50; less than $50 is paid in cash.
