Our older daughter started at One Marital Arts a few years ago to continue her kickboxing skills after graduating from college. She has definately become more intense and very dedicated since. The instruction that is given at ONE is amazing and very professional. She has very serious about the sport. The staff also has become family to her and she has made life long friends. Our son has been going to OMA for four years, and we couldn't be happier with the place. We were expecting to see some benefits in the balance/coordination/confidence areas, but this school has turned out to be so much more than we could have imagined. For starters, they teach kids a whole lot more than just karate. In nearly every class (especially with the younger ones), they focus on things like safety issues, good behavior and smart life choices. They literally reinforce everything you're trying to teach as a parent, which is huge. In nearly every other category (professionalism, communication, helpfulness) they score extremely high marks. My wife took some free classes as part of a Mother's Day special, and now she's hooked as well—she's an orange belt already, rising quickly through the ranks. If you're looking for a great kids martial arts school (or adults, or kickboxing, self defense, etc) you just can't do much better. Highly, highly recommend.

My daughter has attended One Martial Arts since she was six years old. She is a brown belt now at 11 years old. What I like about the school is that they teach more than just karate. Professor and his team teach focus, responsibility, respect, effort, discipline and safety. The teachers are uniformly very good and caring. It is clean and tidy. My only minor complaint is that sometimes the classes can be very large. Even with two teachers and an assistant teacher, a less motivated child can get a bit lost. The professor himself is an exceptional person, and inspires everyone in the school. We feel extremely satisfied with the school, and can recommend it without any hesitation.

I enrolled my son in summer camp at Martial One. The instructors were very nice, and I thought he'd like it. After 2 weeks he was very, very unhappy. He lost all of his confidence AND learned how to say the F*** word! I was very disappointed with Martial One.

I love how they teach not only martial arts, but safely against strangers, fire, etc. This feels like a home away from home, where you can relax and train the muscles that you didn't know you had.

This martial arts school is so passionate towards what they are thriving to teach their students. The patients they show towards a child that is struggling is amazing. They enforce focus and disipline in a child. My 6 yr old son just started training there for karate class. Now he's like a different person. His focus and disiplin have improved a little, and every week he looks forward to his classes. When I go see him train with my 1 yr old son he wants to get involved too!! I love going there and observing the teacher are so involved that before the traing is over the inform you on upcoming events or class. The classes are small, and the ratio from instructor to child is perfect. 1:4. This make me think, "what took me so long in registering before?" Oh! Yeah! it was the tunds of research i was doing and the location. They also help maintain yourself within your budget, by giving you options for paments. I deeply recommend this school to anyone.

My son began studying at One Martial Arts since he was 4, in the Little Ninjas program. My wife and I searched the entire city of San Francisco for a martial arts school to help him with focus and discipline. At One Martial Arts he has learned both those skills and the instructors help re-enforce the life skills we teach him at home. It's been 2 years now my son is now 6

and in the Kids Karate program at One Martial Arts. He is presently studying for his first advanced belt and

loving every minute of it. He is a very energetic 6 year old, but one that already has a stong foundation of morals, values and life skills. Highly recommended to invest for your child!

Our son is thriving at One Martial Arts! His focus and self confidence have increased tremendously. Professor and the other instructors teach by giving positive feedback and the kids have a fun time learning from them. We love this place and so does our son!

My son has been going to One Martial Arts for almost three years, I have been in Adult Karate for about a year and half, and my wife just started Adult Karate after about a year in the Cardio Kickboxing class. We are completely over the moon about One Martial Arts. When our son began, he refused to take his uniform off for about a week, and his enthusiasm has only declined a bit since then. One Martial Arts gives more to my family than I would have ever expected from a Karate class, I couldn't recommend them more strongly.

My son and my daughter started One Martial Arts one year ago. The only reason I enrolled my daughter was because I thought Martial Arts would be a good extra-curricular activity for my son. As it turns out, my daughter was better prepared for Kindergarten in the fall because she learned to focus and had increased her confidence in everything she tries. She has a strong desire to do her personal best. I would recommend this program to all children, boys and girls!

I love Cardio Kickboxing because after a long hard day of school and work, I feel so at ease and fantastic after a good hard fun work out at One Martial Arts. This place is great and I am so happy that I became a member, its going to be a good year.

There are a couple of belt racks hanging in my daughter's bedroom. Not intrinsically 'belt racks', but ladders; One represents her finished climb through ONE's Little Ninja's program, since she was four years old. The other represents her current (advanced) effort in ONE's youth program.

Each rung represents her challenge to perform at a level 10, guided by Professor Beliso and the excellent instructors and junior instructors of ONE. Each of whom promote, but none of whom compromise, her sustained challenges of the last 4 1/2 years.

I understand Professor Beliso has practiced Kenpo karate since he was in pj's, and now, in his forties, he holds a Level 8 black belt. I recognize the extraordinary opportunity for my daughter to learn from one of the best of this discipline.

Just as I feel fortunate for my daughter to study gynnastics with an instuctor who scored a perfect 10 in the floor routine at the World Games, I am blessed to have her study karate in Professor Beliso's school.

I've heard Professor's message to his students numerous times, chiefly:

'Do your best - If you do your best, you will have a good life."

This echoes my belief in meritocracy. My goal for my daughter is to become an accomplished, self-assured woman. I have invested my faith and time in Professor Beliso's school to help me deliver on that goal.

Overall we are very happy with One Martial Arts. In the beginning it was difficult for me to support the merit badge system used with the Little Ninja groups, but quickly realized the kids go NUTS for them. My son cried after each class when he did not get a merit badge. I honestly wanted to take him out but realizes it was a great opportunity to help my son learn how to value and appreciate being involved in something he enjoys and how to set little goals to achieve getting merit badges. All the instructors have a wide range of teaching styles so trying them all out might help you and your little one find a good match. I don't support the $35 fee for belt testing every 6 - 8 weeks but understand there is a cost for a new belt. Very safe, supportive and nurturing environment for children.

Both of my children, ages 10 and 6, have been at One Martial Arts for over a year. As a parent, I am so pleased with the classes offered, but more so with the instructors and staff. Professor Beliso has created an environment that teaches not only karate, but a sense of family, community and well being.

My son has been in the Little Ninjas program for over a year and has gotten a tremendous amount out of the class. I started noticing a huge improvement in his ability to be focused, for example, very quickly. Some classes are indeed very crowded and it's easy for a kid to get lost in the shuffle during those. Solution: there are lots of classes offered on different days of the week at different times with different attendance levels, so find a class that's smaller. Professor Beliso and all of the other instructors are fantastic and I would recommend the Little Ninjas program to anybody.

Both of my grandsons participate in Little Ninjas, excellent program, not only for martial arts, but more important developing positive/effective skills they will carry for the rest of their lives. The children enjoy the program, and it is based on the "whole" child, mentally and physically.

My wife and I placed our daughter in the One Martial Arts program 18 months ago and the changes in her are incredible! She became much more focused and dedicated to everything that she starts. Because of that, we convinced our younger son to join as well. As little as four months into the program, he went from a very shy and introverted boy, to one very motivated child who can't wait to go to the next practise session.

As far as the staffing goes, Professor Belsio is very warm, genuine and proffessional as well as his staff. They truly do foster an air of "family" at their place of business. Furthermore, their annual picnic that they do as a way of saying thank you to their students and families show's that they truly do have excellent customer service that is so lacking in many businesses today. Their martial arts program is excellent for parents as well as the kids as well. Furthermore, as a military service member that is currently deployed overseas, I fully trust Professor Belsio and his staff to train and mentor my kids while I'm away. Thank you One Martial Arts!

One Martial Art classes will teach your child focus, discipline and confidence, which are life skills important to succeed in school, relationships and life. My child develops good attitude and the ability to do his best. He is learning to respect his family, others and himself. It is truly a great place. My child loves his karate classes. It has had a good, positive effect on his behavior. Instructors are very professional and make a good connection with the kids. They are positive role models that inspire my child to be the best.

My son has been going to 1MA for six years and has his brown belt. We have always found the classes well run and the staff very caring. I love the overall positiveness and philosphy behind the classes. The upper belt classes are very difficult and are real workouts. Our experience has been great and I think my son is learning that you can accomplish long range goals by doing a little bit every day. I recommend 1MA whenever I can.

started learning karate with Little Ninja's class a year ago at age 4. she still enjoys going. learning about life skills and family values. being positive and showing respect. plus so much more. Plenty of extra events to participate in, make friends and practice karate moves (and most of that is free of charge).

My two children have been attending One Martial Arts for a little over a year now. Every saturday they look forward to class even driving by the school (not on a sat) just gets them excited. I have one in the little ninjas class and one that just moved to kids karate the classes are awesome!

One Martial Arts is as good as it gets in extracurricular programming for children. Our 5-year old daughter attended a Little Ninja class twice weekly this past school year and will do so again in the fall. The program has been transformational for her. Professor Beliso is a superlative educator and life skills coach. Utilizing martial arts as the conduit, he teaches children the values of respect, teamwork, discipline, focus, fitness, among many others. He teaches children leadership skills and how to keep themselves and others safe. He genuinely cares about each of the families in the OMA community and works tirelessly to ensure that each student's needs are being met. As a mother of 3 children who has researched and tried many enrichment programs throughout the Bay Area, I can strongly recommend One Martial Arts.

I think One Martial Arts is a great school for adults and kids. The adult classes are challenging and the kids learn to respect others and build confidence in themselves. I've attended other schools and have found this ONE to be the best for me and my kids.

We have been bringing our daughter there for about 2 years and now and she absolutely loves it! She is learning her martial arts skills and other life skills such as respect, teamwork, discipline and more, in a fun and supportive way. My son has been attending One Martial Arts Karate classes since before he turned five; he's almost nine now. The instructors are great--they know everyone's name, and give lots of encouragement. The curriculum challenges him physically and mentally. I recommend this school.

The classes are large and very repetative. My 11 year old found it boring same thing over and over again.

I found the classes to be too large and my son seemed to get lost in the shuffle. In addition to they just want the kids to have a good ole time and learning martial arts isn't really part of what they do...

One Martial Art teaches kids respect and discipline. Day Camps are awesome. The kids go on field trips, learn karate and most of all blow off all the energy they have. As far as watching movies at the end of the day, that's down time until the parents come to pick them up. Trust me by the end of the day your kid is exhausted from all the activities they were doing prior to watching tv....

As a martial arts club, this is a good place for young kids. As kids get older the study becomes more work and less fun. The day camps are lacking in leadership and activities. I don't want to send my kid to a camp where they spend the afternoons cooped up in the back room of a karate studio watching TV and doing lame puzzles - and that is what I got.

My daughter has been going for four or five months and loves it. It's a little early to tell, but I think it has actually changed her emotionally for the better. Greater confidence, concentration, emotional stability. The Professor is doing a brilliant job.

We found out about One Martial Arts after talking to two other parents at our school. We were struck by the cleanliness and brightness of the place first. Then we met the staff and they were super. There is an emphasis on positive life skills and values in addition to the excellent karate training. The Little Ninja program for kids under seven was very impressive. They teach karate but also life skills, like showing respect, what to do if a stranger approaches you, what to do if you find a weapon, and that your family is your first team. The kids adore Little Ninjas. My daughter just graduated up to Kids Karate, and loves it also. It is harder but she was ready for the challenge. The school owner Professor Beliso is the key to the whole operation. He is inspiring, energetic and intense in a good way. He is a very positive influence on everyone he meets. We give One Martial Arts two thumbs up in every way.

This studio combines buidling a kids sense of self with discipline and high expectations. The kids are treated with respect and expected to act respectfully. The discipline is positive and character building. My own son is high functioning autistic and works with the professor in private lessons. This has been an incredibly positive experience for him, he respects the professor tremendously and reminding him during the week of what professor has taught him helps him with challenging issues such as impulse control. I am so glad that we found this place, I highly recommend it to any family and can't praise it highly enough to do it justice.
