About ONEiTY

ONEiTY (pronounced "one-ity") sells children's clothing with a purpose: to provide American consumers with quality products while supporting the artisans in developing countries where the clothing was crafted. The artisans receive fair market value for their hand-crafted apparel, shoppers receive high-quality, adorable clothing for their children, and part of the proceeds from every item sold at the store gets put back into the community - both locally and globally. A win-win situation for everyone! Besides the whole "good cause" thing, people love these clothes because they are really cute, unique, and well-crafted. It's the kind of apparel that makes a parent smile as they imagine how cute their child is going to look wearing ONEiTY clothes. And the prices - inexpensive to moderate; expect to pay about $10-$35 for boutique-quality outfits. The ONEiTY motto is "seed, nurture, harvest," and to remind the consumer how their purchase contributes to the greater good, each item of clothing bears a tag indicating how the purchase will directly affect the cycle of giving. Some tags we read spoke about proceeds being used to purchase a computer for a village weaving business in Madagascar, while others indicated that proceeds are used to purchase food for the Utah Food Bank. This is just one of those special stores where parents can feel like they actually did something worthwhile while buying clothing for their children. While parents browse, children can entertain themselves in a little play area stocked with blocks, a bead chaser, and a few other miscellaneous toys. Benches around the play area allow weary parents to rest their legs.

Getting There

Look for the store on the west side of 2700 East, just south of 3900 South. It's in the same plaza as Granatos.

I loved that buying something cute for my daughter (something that I am bound to do anyway) can help a bigger cause. Yay for ONEiTY!

They do charity in a fun and exciting way! Every Tuesday at 10am and every Thursday at 3pm they do either music, story, or craft hour (really 45 minutes!)They only charge $1 per child and they donate that to charity! It is worth checking out. Plus they give a snack to the kids each time and you can shop in their filled up 50% off area. Don't forget to check out their website for a $5 off coupon (some shirts are only $5-thus free!)before they expire in July and you will be glad you did! You will love shopping at a store with great designs at great prices! Editor's note: The art and music classes are no longer being offered at the store.
