About Ordway Center for the Performing Arts

The Ordway Center hosts some of the Twin Cities best performances throughout the year, with world-class theater and concert offerings. Some of the performances are geared specifically toward children, most notably the long roster of shows in connection with the Flint Hills Children's Festival each June.

The Ordway Center strongly discourages parents from bringing children under six to general offerings; for children's events, it recommends that kids be at least four years of age.

Explore the orchestra pit, stage, and backstage area close-up during public tours one Saturday each month at 10am. Call 651.282.3063 for reservations, which are required. Cost: $2/person.

Tips

Before attending an Ordway Center show, consider stopping at the Landmark Center, Saint Paul Central Library, or Rice Park - all are right out the front door - so kids can let off steam before taking their seats.

Getting There

Borders the Rice Park on its west side.
