about Oregon Museum of Science and Industry:

It's no wonder that this is the Portland's premier destination for science exploration - it's home to the USS Blueback, OMNIMAX Theater, and Kendall Planetarium.

The Earth Science Hall includes watershed, weather, and paleo labs. In the Tech Lab, explore cyberspace on Macintosh and PC computers. Chemistry, laser, and physics labs can be found in Turbine Hall, while you can get a view of the Rat Cam in the Life Science Hall.

For the younger set, stop into Science Playground's Animal Secrets where kids under six can discover the hidden habitats and secret lives of forest creatures, including raccoons, chipmunks, bears, and eagles.

OMSI offers Camp-In adventures for kids grades three through eight. The cost for a Camp-In program is $41 per person and includes museum admission, a USS Blueback tour, OMNIMAX and planetarium show, and meals. The USS Blueback is also available for sleep overs for grades three through 12. The cost for the Sub-In is $55 per person and includes museum admission, a USS Blueback tour, OMNIMAX and planetarium show, and breakfast. Call 503.797.4661 or email to make a reservation.

OMSI offers overnight Science Camps for ages seven to 18 all summer long - a combination of science, adventure, activity, and more typical summer-camp traditions. Family camp programs are also available.

Museum Rental & Catering: Although birthday party packages are not available, you can still hold your next bash here. A number of classrooms, meeting spaces, and halls are available, in addition to the planetarium and submarine. Prices start at $250. Bon Appetit catering is offered. Call 503.797.4522 or email to schedule a party.
