Orlando International Airport (Airport Code MCO) is the major travel gateway for tourists, business folks, and families alike. Located in east Orlando off the Beachline (528), the location provides easy access to all of the area's theme parks, as well as downtown Orlando.
Orlando International Airport is Florida's busiest airport with one main terminal, and two flight terminals with over 120 gates. The main building is seperated from flight terminals, requiring passengers to use a
monorail from one building to another (plan time in your travel schedule for the wait and ride to your gate). The main terminal (which includes ticketing, baggage claim, and all ground transportation), also houses over 20 restaurants, and plenty of stores for the last-minute traveler (including a
Disney store, Universal store, a Ron Jon Surf Shop, and more). Currency exchange locations are located throughout the airport. For weary travelers, check-in to the
on-site Hyatt Regency Hotel in the main terminal. All
ground transportation (including rental car desks) is located on Level 1 on both the A and B sides of the Main Terminal. Passengers can also pick up
Disney's Magical Express from the A side of the Main Terminal.
Parking: Terminal and Satellite Parking are available. The
main terminal parking offers covered spaces on either side within easy walking distance of the main terminal, but most lower levels are usually filled. After parking, take the elevator down to the tunnel to cross to the main terminal, then take the elevator or escalator up to Level 3 (Ticketing/Departures). Terminal Garage Parking costs $1.00 per 30 minutes up to a maximum of $15 per 24-hour period. Parking fees can be charged using American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or E-Pass/SunPass. Two main uncovered
satellite parking locations are available with reduced parking rates. Allow an extra 30 minutes to park in these lots and catch a free shuttle (departing approximately every ten minutes) to the main terminal's Ticketing/Departures area. Follow the signs to either the Red Lot (the closest to the airport - and the first to fill up) or Blue Lot. The cost for Satellite Parking is $3 for the first three hours, and $4 for hours four through 24, for a maximum of $7 per 24-hour period.
