The
Orlando Opera has performed classic and contemporary programs for almost 50 years.
All operas are performed with
English translations projected above the stage. Performances are held at the
Bob Carr Performing Arts Center, with touring productions visiting schools across Central Florida.
The
Orlando Youth Opera is a training program with instruction in voice, drama, movement, and stage production. The Youth Opera also serves as the children's chorus in main-stage performances when required. Kids will also love the
Young People's Concerts the Opera provides.
The Orlando Opera Academy provides a range of
Summer and Spring Break Camps for kids from kindergarten through high school. Classes are arranged by age. Younger kids take part in group singing and music and movement related activities. Older kids have the opportunity to work with the opera company's professional stage and music team and can even take part in live public performances.
Orlando Opera also develops talent with the
Resident Artist Program responsible for training young professional singing actors.
