The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra is Central Florida's fully professional ensemble with more than 80 professional musicians from around the globe. Performances include everything from the Phil at Carr Series featuring the classical music of Beethoven, Brahms, and Mozart, to the Sounds of Summer Series in beautiful Harry P. Leu Gardens. For kids and families, the Orlando Philharmonic facilitates the Darden Family Series, a concert series complete with family oriented educational materials, interactive lobby stations, and even an instrument "petting zoo". They also perform across Central Florida for countless schools. Educational events and special opportunities for middle and high schoolers are available, including a Young Composer's Challenge and Open Dress Rehearsal listening.
