The downtown Orlando Public Library is the largest public library building in the state of Florida.
The Children's Library offers well lit, large areas for reading, computers, and story rooms. The children's collection includes picture books, kids fiction, braille books, and more.
Library Central, located on the first floor carries popular materials like bestsellers, fiction, DVD's, music, and books on tape or CD.
For teens, there's Club Central. With young adult books, audio books, music listening stations, magazines, and a study rooms, this is a relaxing - yet hip - place to hang out.
To make your library going experience even more enjoyable, there's Z-Coffee, a cafe with a gourmet coffee bar, fruit smoothies, bagels, snacks, and other goodies. The cafe is open during the library's regular hours.
Public computer access with Internet capability is also available throughout the library and a unique section, the Genealogy collection offers families the chance to research their history.
There's even a "to-go" window at the library that lets you return items or pick up books you've reserved ahead of time - regular and super-sized volumes!
