Pacific Martial Arts is outstanding. Our son started going there at 4 years old and has been there for 9 years. The staff is caring, talented, and courteous. They have helped my son grow into a young man who is kind, respectful, and confident in himself and his relationships with others. PMA keeps the teaching itinerary interesting and exciting. There are numerous field trips and tournaments that the kids can participate in and really look forward to. The dojos are great and are well spaced around San Diego and the many class times are there to accomadate all. I highly recommend.

Our 11 year old son has been at this dojo since June of 2009 and we are very satisfied. He is always excited to go to class. They teach respect and discipline and also keep it fun for the students

The instructors are fantastic. They keep the kids engaged and happy and learning. For fun, exercise, discipline, self-esteem, and life lessons, you're not going to find a better place.

This is the best karate Dojo that we have sent our son to. Not only is the instruction great, but the life lessons taught are insightful. There are "parent's night out" options on Saturdays and the tournaments are a blast! We highly recommend Pacific Martial Arts.

Over 15 years ago, our youngest son wanted to take karate. He (as well as the two parents) is still training with Pacific Martial Arts and our whole family ended up in the program. It was a great way for our children to experience self defense training, individual expression , repect for others, and teamwork as well as unify our whole family in an activity over the years. 3 of 5 are still participating Black Belts!

PMA teaches young people the needed skills to become successful in life. Instead of focusing on winning or tournaments (which the school does have and can teach children how to handle winning and losing) the focus of the school in on the attitude of the child. This is the best place in San Diego to learn traditional martial arts that emphasizes the person not the punches.

I love doing karate! You learn alot of disipline and knowledge. You also learn about Martial Arts in the best possible way! I love doing karate and look forward to it every day. You also get to learn the Japanese language and cultures. I have been in this program for 7 1/2 years and it is amazing. If your looking for a dojo i recommend joining Pacific Martial Arts!

To learn Karate, PMA is the absolute best in town. The teachers are professional role models teaching good behavior, academics and respect through all aspects of life. The classes are age appropriate and fun. You cannot find a more perfect dojo for learning the ways of karate-do.

You can't go wrong with putting your child in the care of Andy Eros and his team. They provide all the encouragement and support your child needs to become proficient in the martial arts.

PMA teaches personal discipline, respect for self and others, as well as self defense. They have discounts for families and even have scholarships for those who have finacial need. They have 5 tournaments per year and many belt levels for children so they may test often and see the succeess in their progress. It's a wonderful program. The children's instructors are so good with them and both have so much fun that the students always want to attend class. This is our son's 4th year at PMA and he will be in with the adults soon and he is looking forward to continuing.

We've been part of the PMA organization for several years now. We're thrilled with their personal attention and commitment to each individual member. The instructors each have their own style and flavor but the underpinning lessons focus on respect, courtesy, self-improvement, but most of all, simply doing one's best. These remain constant lessons regardless of the class or activity. I love that our personal family values are complemented and reinforced within the program. The valuable skills, self-discipline and self-confidence that are learned are an added bonus! Our son has really grown and thrives under the program and instruction.

Pacific Martial Arts (PMA) is an amazing martial arts dojo! We are fairly new to San Diego and definitely new to karate and we originally found PMA through our children's school. We have been consistently pleased with the high level of instruction that is very student-focused and age-appropriate. The instructors are professional and seek to instill in the students not only karate skills, but respect, responsibility, self-control, and confidence AND motivate the kids to work to their highest potential while keeping it "fun" and maintaining order in the classes. There have been several opportunities for competition with not only others (tournaments), but with themselves (belt-testing), as well. We also are looking forward to participating in some of the extra-curricular activities, soon, (i.e. camps). Some of the classes have gotten crowded over the past months, but we see that growth as a positive. The instructors sometimes utilize the assistance of upper-belt juniors to help with classes, which is a great way for them to not only contribute, but learn AND be good role models for the younger students. We have a 5-year-old and a 9-year-old who both have lots of fun and have made good friends at karate. We have seen a remarkable transformation in our children as they have grown not only in their karate abilities, but their respect toward others and themselves, too! We highly recommend the well-established PMA karate dojo that's great both physically and socially, for boys AND girls, alike!

Pacific Martial Arts has become the best activity we have ever enrolled our two boys in (ages 6,4) The teaching staff is dedicated, disciplined, and directive in the most gentle and skilled ways. We have seen our boys thrive and grow during their time with PMA, both physically and mentally.The bonus is that they really have a great time with their peers and learn from superb role models! An excellent choice for young boys to channel their competitive spirit and energy!

I have been involved with PMA for 15 years, which is a testament to its quality and staying power. Lessons focus on non-violent self defense and personality development. Many of the instructors hold Bachelor or Master's degrees.

Pacific Martial Arts teaches traditional Japanese karate classes to kids and adults. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and the classes are a blast. Mini-ninja classes for 4-6 year olds are very entertaining and are taught through storytelling. My girls both loved them, and the older one is now getting quite competetive in the bigger kid classes. Adult classes can satisfy even the most avid martial artist with 30 years of experience teaching different groups.
