Unobtrusively nestled in the heart of Santa Monica's hippest street, Paint Lab is a walk-in art studio inviting art-lovers of all ages to express and explore their creativity through paint. Art stations with professional easels, brushes, and paints are spaced comfortably around the breezy, pleasant patio and studio space, and there is no limit to how long a budding Picasso can paint, perfect, and peruse.

Visitors pay a studio fee (by the day or by the month) which includes use of all supplies except canvas; canvasses of different sizes and styles (including wipe-able, reusable ones for toddlers!) are available for purchase.

Workshops are also offered, for both kids and adults, and in kids' classes the canvas is included. These drop-off classes offer a great opportunity for kids to make the most of the facility, while parents make the most of Main Street.

Birthday parties are a good deal here, with a charge of $30 per child that includes supplies and instruction in the enclosed patio space, with room for food and adult relaxation while young guests release their inner DaVincis.

Artists may drop in at any time and be set up with a work station; kids' workshop sessions happen daily but reservations are recommended.

The studio stays open late for Paint, Wine, and Cheese evenings Thursday through Saturday, 6pm-9pm.
