Bought the Living Social deal. $15 for $30 worth of glass fusing. I'd done this before elsewhere, so was aware of what was involved. EXTREMELY disappointed with what was offered for the "deal". Misleading ad to say the least. Had option of making one of 4 different items as noted in the deal, but what was NOT mentioned was that it had to be their style choice with very limited color scheme (only white glass for plate -no clue why clear or black wasn't offered - it was the same price otherwise. I asked but never given an answer), and very limited choice of the pre-cut large colored squares. I was not allowed to use any glass but those, which limited the options greatly because of the size of plate glass involved was only 6".

There were lots of other colors and size options for the glass, but they were simply not allowed. I really don't get it. I even asked if I could upgrade, spending $50+ to be able to make something I actually wanted to make, but was told no, claiming it wasn't part of the "deal". I showed the owner the voucher and asked where it noted anything about not being able to use any glass parts, but since it wasn't there, she couldn't show me a thing. Checked online and it was exactly the same as on the voucher. This was an ADDED condition by the owner, never mentioned prior. In the end, she said I could use the $15 I'd paid for the voucher, but I was beyond wanting to spend a cent there anymore and will get a refund from Living Social. It's a real shame. It was never about the money, rather principle. I'd wanted to make something specific as a gift and knew what I was doing. Didn't need help scoring/cutting glass or with anything else. Just wanted to do my own thing with colors and design I liked. I'd also wanted to purchase my college aged daughter and 8 friends a glass fusing birthday gift/party, as well as pottery party for my younger daughter's get together next month, but she really blew that for me. Will not return to, or recommend this place to anyone.

My husband & I spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon out with the kids at Painted by Hue. I got the kids handprints on plates for their grandparents while they each chose something fun for them to paint on their own and hubby made himself a coffee mug. The studio offers a great variety of pottery and colors. The hardest part is deciding what you want to paint. Next time I go in though I'm going in without the kids & bringing in some friends and a bottle of wine!

The kids Clay Class on Wednesdays is great! My daughter loved it. The teacher made each child feel like they created something special. We'll be signing up for more classes.

Manager is not very friendly.

I have two young boys (now 5&6) whom I have been taking there since the first week it opened. They love it and often chose Painted by Hue as a reward for good behavior. I am so in love with the place too, what a treat when I have an afternoon to myself. When I am with the kids, I let them do the painting. Even my husband has gone a few times...once he took the boys and they designed a wonderful Mother's Day gift. The owner could not be nicer! She is so sweet and always willing help and/or accommodate. The shop is decorated with countless colors, uncommon pizzazz and comfortable seating for every age! Being there will inspire anyone! Several idea books and pictures on hand if you need a little extra help. They provide everything you need! And best of all, they will clean up…which if your kids are anything like mine when painting, that is a welcomed benefit! It has never taken a week to get pieces back! My only caution is the price…pieces start around $3 and goes up from there. $3 isn’t much, but the average piece is about $24. ~These figures are not exact, just a guess based on a multitude of visits.
