This school is the best kept secret in town. It is beautiful, small and intimate. The director Nancy is a true marvel. My son's teachers had a wonderful serene, yet fun quality and never talked down to children and believed in their potential to grow and navigate life's challenges. My son had a difficult time at his former preschool (a very well respected and wonderful school) with separation and sensory issues. At Palisades Preschool, Nancy and the teachers were completely dedicated to helping him deal with his fears and difficulties. I saw my son go from a little boy who would not participate at all, to a very happy child who loved to participate in all activities. I have to give a shout out to Parker Bent, their music teacher, as well. He if amazing and really brought out the beauty and the joy in the kids. I loved this school and am going to miss it terribly. Just a sweet, beautiful, loving place for any child.

My daughter is so lucky to have attended Palisades Preschool. She has learned so much and not just the alphabet. I am continually amazed at how much these students learn about themselves and the world around them. The teachers and staff are truly remarkable. They are all well educated and obviously care a great deal about what they do at the school. They each have such respect for these children. What could be better than that?

My son has blossomed at this school, under the care of the amazing staff and in the context of a wonderful approach to pre-K education. I never knew the Reggio approach before, but having seen it in action I feel so lucky that my son experienced it. Of course, an approach is great on paper; it's the people who make this school so special. The care and thought and love in this little schoolhouse are truly remarkable.

I only dare to tell people what a secret gem this school is because it's our last year! It's gone through a lot of changes over the years (hence the name, even though it's in Santa Monica), and its current state outclasses most of the other schools in the area - which in this area is saying a lot. The director cares deeply, listens to the needs of her community, has a fountain of knowledge and experience, and acts swiftly when appropriate. The teachers are all very educated (no babysitters!), and the amount of thought that goes into each day of school here genuinely makes it an environment I could not create at home - which is why we pay for preschool, right? It's small, it's not full day, and I hope it stays just like it is - in spite of my sharing the joy!

Our kids have both loved their years at this terrific, caring, and inspiring little preschool. It's been a great addition to the neighborhood!
