Single Parents of Albuquerque Raising Kids (SPARKS) is the Albuquerque chapter of Parents without Partners, an international organization that provides single parents and their children an opportunity for enhancing personal growth by offering an environment for support, friendship, and exchange of parenting techniques.
Founded in 1957, Parents Without Partners is the largest organiztion devoted to the welfare and interests of single parents and their children. Joining parents may be male or female, custodial or noncustodial, separated, divorced, widowed, or never-married.
The chapter offers open forum, parent events, and children's events. Meetings are normally held once or twice a month at various locations within the county.
To join, attend a Membership Orientation held at the Corondo Mall Barnes & Noble bookstore at 6:30pm on the second Tuesday of every month. Call 505.797.5437 if you plan to attend.
