The historic Art Deco-style
band shell/amphitheater is the biggest draw at Memorial Park, especially during the summer months when the
Levitt Pavillion sponsors its popular concert series here.
The park has a
MetroRail station on its eastern perimeter; the
Gold Line makes stops here, and the public art throughout the station is worth a peek. If you're heading to
Old Town Pasadena by rail, this is the stop you want; the district is two blocks south of the station.
The park features lots of
grassy hills - which seem to draw kids who love a good roll downhill - and two brand new children's play areas. Adults can enjoy a new par exercise course.
