about Pasadena Museum of History:

Founded first in 1924 as the Pasadena Historical Society, the Pasadena Museum of History and Research Library is Pasadena's only museum devoted solely to preserving the area's local history and culture.

The museum encompasses the stately Fenyes Mansion, which can be viewed on a guided tour. The surrounding two acres of gardens are not to be missed.

Peek at the Past, a seven-week series during the summer, offers children ages four to eight, and accompanying adults, an opportunity to learn what life was like 100 years ago while "peeking" into different rooms of the house.

Special free family events are scheduled throughout the year.

tips:

View the Fenyes Mansion during "an Edwardian-style Christmas" one Saturday in December. This annual event allows visitors to see turn of the century decorations and period entertainment. Santa makes an appearance and the holiday party atmostphere is a treat for all. Check our calendar for details.

getting there:

From 134 Freeway, take Colorado Boulevard/Orange Grove Boulevard exit. Continue on West Colorado Boulevard and turn left on North Orange Grove Boulevard. Turn right onto West Walnut Street.
