about Patterson Fruit Farm:
The Patterson family has grown apples in Geauga County for six generations, and established a roadside stand at the current location of Patterson's in 1956. As the stand, the family, and the farm have grown, the operation now includes pick-your-own apples, peaches, and strawberry fields, along with a year-round farm market operation. Maple sugaring time (February-March) is a sweet one at Patterson's, and several special events for families are typically scheduled during that time. (Check our calendar for seasonal events.) During harvest time, families can pick apples and enjoy creative activities in the Family Fun Fest area - and Family Fun Fest is a two-month-long event on fall weekends at Patterson's, including hay rides, scavenger hunts, pumpkin painting, and more. Birthday party packages held during Fun Fest cost $85 for 12 kids, plus the birthday child's parents, grandparents (or two helpers) and includes a picnic table, apple cider, and use of the grounds for the entire day. Additional tickets can be purchased, as can la carte options such as pumpkin painting and wagon rides. Children's tours are available by contacting Nancy Patterson at 440.729.9809 or nancy@pattersonfarm.com to make arrangements. Patterson's also makes fund raising programs available to schools and organizations. For more information, we recommend you call the farm.

We went to Patterson Farm with a group from school. My child is 4 years old. She LOVED all the activities. There were a lot of slides, tree houses, little cabins to explore, ride-on tractors, hay ride, corn maze, hay bales to climb... and the tour was awesome for children and adults alike (I learned a lot... did you know there are over 2000 different kinds of apples in this world?!?!?). And you get free samples of apples and cider at the end of the tour. The little shop is super cute, too. Downfall? Hard to find, but well worth it when you get there!
Once we found the correct location, my nephews (3 and 4) had a wonderful time. The Fun Fest is not actually on Caves road, but about 3 miles away on Mulberry (Rt. 39)There are no signs, so we had to ask at the fruit farm. Also, be aware that the cost is higher ($5/person) on the weekends, not $3 as listed. But, once we arrived they had alot of fun and have already asked if we can go back:)
