about Paul Revere House:
The Paul Revere House, a national historic landmark, is the oldest wooden building in Boston. It was also home, as you might guess, to the famous patriot, Paul Revere. This "must-see" Boston treasure is located between Faneuil Hall and Old North Church, stops on the Freedom Trail. The Revere House is stop number twelve.
Tours of the Revere House are self-guided, complemented by illustrated text panels and museum interpreters. Families will enjoy a host of dramatizations, period demonstrations, and special events throughout the year.
tips:
If the kids need a break from all the history, pop over to the North Street playground next door. It's a little small and missing swings, but it does have a climbing structure.
getting there:
The site can be reached by car, but the narrow one way streets and limited parking make MBTA line the best option. Green Line to Government Center or Haymarket stations; Blue Line to Government Center; Orange Line to State or Haymarket stations. Take Atlantic Ave. to Christopher Columbus Park. Left on Richmond St. to North St., right on North Street.
