I had a horrible experience here today. It is not about how good or bad the place is structurely. It is about how they treat a person. They treat people unequally and they discriminate!!! Today was a holiday, so I took my daughter along with my husband to this place for a special fun day. When I walked in, I was told that I had to wear socks. When I told her I didn't have one, she asked me to buy their socks for $2. And if I didn't, I couldn't be able to enter this place. Well, i respected their rule because i thought that it would keep the kids from getting any skin illness. So I bought the ugly cheap looking socks for $2. However, after an hour or so, I realized so many people came in with their bare feet. I was just curious to know why???? the rule was not reinforced on other people but me. When I asked, i was told that all other people didn't have to wear socks because they came in recommaned by Nancy(the owner). Well......what's the purpose of wearing socks? if people were recommanded by Nacy, are their feet clean? However, when I asked, nobody knew who Nancy was. I was lied to. Hmmmm... why? I don't know. So I asked if I could talk to Nancy. After she talked to Nancy on the phone for a long time secretly, she started handing out everyone else socks for free. Hmmmm... why? When I asked her why i should be the only one paying for the socks and if I could get my money back, she simply said "No" and no apologize. Apparently, other moms there told me that they visited here many times and were never asked to wear socks before. And they received free socks today..... What's going on in this place? I just felt so discriminated and insulted at this place. Am I not as clean as others for my skin color or what??? Please treat other as you would want to be treated and equally!!!

I love the new space! The real artwork on the walls our great. I have to admit I am really over the generic murals that you see in most indoor places. The fact that the owners put real canvas on the walls was a breath of fresh air. The natural lighting that this place gets is beautiful. The space has huge windows, and super high ceilings that makes you feel at peace, even when you are in a room with a bunch of howling kids. The different rooms are great bonus. Unlike any other playground I have ever been to, this place has something for every child to enjoy. Peekaboo Rocks!

Okay, went to the new Peekaboo Playland today and absolutely LOVED IT!! There is sooooo much more room for my kids to run around now. I love how the dress up area is separated from the kitchen, from the game room, etc. The new birdhouse/slide is a lot of fun and wears my kids out too. (I don't know what these other folks are complaining about. If you have little wee ones you have to watch them closely just as you would at the jungle gym at the park. This will always be a problem when there are other kids around so just watch your kids) My boy thrilled to have more room ride the trike around and also play hide and go seek. We spent a much longer time here than we ever have because it seemed like there was more to do because of the extra space. Bravo to Nancy and Marcel for taking the giant step and moving to such a great location. I seriously hated the parking at the old place and having to play win the lotto with parking spaces. I'd rather pay an old meter for 2 hours than have to push a stroller with 2 kids up that Eagle Rock hill.
I am having our next birthday party here again because now it's brand new once again. Yay for change!

PS. Pay no mind to the hater of Peekaboo. She is an angry woman who going on all the websites badmouthing Peekaboo for the ticket she got from her expired meter. Not very nice of her. The folks at Peekaboo are great. Go visit and see for yourself.

well, i am giving the NEW peekaboo playland 5 stars. i just love everything on it. it is spacious, safe, lovingly decorated, super friendly service and most important of all, my kid LOVES it there!

I went to Peekaboo's soft opening. It wasn't completely done, so I went to the grand opening on Friday and was absolutely blown away. I couldn't believe it was completely finished. The bird house structure was adorable and recommended for kids 2 and up. The floors were completely padded with soft foam underneath vinyl flooring. Needless to say, this was a major plus for me considering I have a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 year old. I loved the different rooms and nooks. You could see the joy and excitement in everyone's faces that were there. It's unlike any other indoor playground that I've ever been to. The original artwork on the walls were beautiful. The time it must have taken the owners to figure out every little thing that would entertain children in various age groups is pretty impressive and much appreciated from a mom who has two children with different needs. I'm looking forward to pilates and play with my son every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 - 9:30AM. Only $15 a class and we get to stay and play as long as we want afterward. One final note. I am thrilled that there are a few great restaurants just walking distance away. It really makes for a full day of fun! Perfect place for my Mom's Club to meet.

I just went to the grand opening on 6/26/09 and was so impressed. I was a regular at the previous location and my two toddlers always had a wonderful experience. The new space is amazing. I couldn't get my daughter out of the little make-believe kitchen. Their new slide structure was a hit with all the little ones. There seem to be plenty of options for parking, which is terrific. I also loved the fact that there is a pizza place a few stores down. We walked to it afterwards for some cheese pizza. Congrats on the new space! I can't wait to take the kiddies back.

The new location for Peekaboo is great! I went to their grand opening last night and it was packed full of happy kids and parents! There is a great play structure in the middle that has slides and adds more things to do for older kids besides the bounce house. Also there are 3 additional play areas besides the big main room, so that my little girl can pretend that she is shopping in the grocery store or go and read books and do puzzles in the cozy other room. The parking is limited as is everywhere in Eagle Rock....the best thing to do is park north of Colorado in the neighborhood so that you can park for longer than 1-2 hours. I will be back again and again to Peekaboo Playland and plan to have my daughter's birthday party there too!

Beware, Peekaboo Playland has moved into a new space (2030 Colorado) that is half-finished, unsafe and thouroughly unenjoyable for kids over 3. What used to be a great indoor playground has now turned into a badly designed and overpriced rip-off. The parking situation is actually worse than it was and you will recieve a $60.00 parking ticket on Wednesday mornings between 11am and 1pm. The parking regulation is poorly displayed and when I suggested the owner post a warning at the register, I was met with an unhelpful attitude. She also informed me that she had been "fielding complaints" all morning about the new facility. Save your money and the safety of your children. Go somewhere else.

Peekaboo Playland is excellent. It's clean and the staff is extremely helpful. I had my daughter's 1st Birthday party there and the kid's had a lot of fun.

My 2year had a blast. I would strongly recommend it to parents that have toddlers that love to play with multiple toys at the same time. The only negative review I would have would be that the parking is limited but it's so worth it. My daughter loved it.

low key, safe, friendly and engaging for a variety of ages! nancy (the owner) is a peach and plays good music for us "mature" parents!

I had my kids birthday party at Peekaboo Playland and have attended a couple of other parties there as well. My experience has always been fantastic. Nancy does a great job making the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable for parents. (She plays great music that parents can actually enjoy too.) But the real question is, do the kids like it. The answer is yes! Aside from the indoor and outdoor play areas, bouncers and usual toys they also have fun activities like face painting. If you are on a tight budget for a birthday party this place may not be for you. But if you live a hectic life and want to spare all the hassles of planning, hosting and cleaning up this is the place for you.

My husband and I took our son there after a friend told us about this place. Our little guy is 4 and he couldn't have had a better time. The admission was $7, which is very reasonable when you consider what they offer. We're thinking about booking birthday party there in January, their birthday packages look pretty reasonable, too. In a nutshell: clean, beautiful interior, awesome bouncer, GREAT staff, convenient location right off 2/134 freeways. I almost forgot to mention the free coffee.

We went recently during the heatwave & I think that was honestly my only issue; It was just as hot & humid inside as it was outside. It was terribly overcrowded & they charged my card 2x & I had to call 3x to make sure I was credited back. They charge the same price for siblings, even though my kids are 4 & 1 (not much for a 1 yr. old to do there) & other playareas at least give a discount for siblings. My 4 yr. old had a BLAST though & I would take HER back there if we're in the area again. They have outdoor water play for an extra $3...which was wierd, but people paid for it. The staff was super nice though & it is very clean.

Checked it out after reading about it in Los Angeles Magazine, it was voted "Best of L.A. 2007"! Our 3 year-old never wants to leave. Highly recommended!

We took our 2 year-old daughter there and she LOVED it! It was only $7 to get in, less than the other indoor playgrounds of the surrounding areas. The staff was very friendly, the toys clean, and most importantly there was plenty of stuff to do for our little princess. I highly recommend this place!

You walk up to the door of this craftsman house and never imagine what you will find on the otherside. As soon as you walk in you are surrounded by color, paintings and murals. Toys of every size and shape, soft floors to tumble on. But the very best thing about Peekaboo is the vibe, there is something cool and magical about it. It is put together in a way that is beautiful like a fairy tale, equal parts fun and imagination.
