about Pickwick Gardens and Ice Center:

Pickwick Gardens is home to Pickwick Ice and Pickwick Bowl. The full-size ice skating rink offers a well-maintained and friendly place for families to have some fun on the ice. Wear warm clothes, including mittens or gloves.

Skate rentals are available in all sizes for $3 a pair, handed out by an enormously patient staff. The rink is surrounded by plenty of benches and seats for resting. An adjacent lounge area has video games, a gas fireplace, vending machines, a snack bar, and tables and chairs.

Stick handling lessons are available for kids of all ages. The 14-week session meets on Friday nights from 5:45pm-6:45pm, and costs $210. Youth Hockey meets on weekend mornings. Children ages 4 to 10 meet Saturday, 7:15am-9:15am; ages 10 to 17 meet Sunday, 7:15am-9:15am. Fourteen sessions cost $280, plus $20 for a jersey. Birthday Parties: The package includes admission to public skating sessions, rental skates, a room with tables and chairs, cake and drinks, and a party coordinator to help serve. It costs $13.50/child, with a minimum of ten children, plus an %18 service charge. Additional food is available for extra cost, or pizza can be delivered.

Pickwick Bowl features bowling with 24 synthetic lanes, lighted automated bumpers, computerized scoring, a fully equipped Pro Shop, a snack bar, and a video arcade. Game prices per person range from $3 to $6. Children's birthday parties start at $180 for 10 kids. Youth bowling leagues meet on Sunday mornings at 10am.

Take the Buena Vista St. exit off the 134 Freeway, and go straight on Riverside Drive. OR, take the Alameda Street exit off the 5 Freeway, head west on Alameda, left on Main Street, and right on Riverside Drive.
