about Piers Park Sailing Center:

Piers Park Sailing Center is a diverse community of people who share a common interest in maritime education and recreation. Their programs teach sailing and develop character through the craft of seamanship; provide access to Boston Harbor, its islands, and coastal New England; and are affordable for youth, adults. and people with disabilities. As part of a free youth program, kids between the ages of 10 and 17 work closely with friendly and enthusiastic instructors to learn everything from essential sailing basics to advanced racing, boat maintenance, and navigation. The three programming seasons are Spring After-School, Summer, and Fall After-School.

getting there:

Take the Blue line to the Maverick Stop. From the station walk east on Sumner Street three blocks to Cottage Street. Turn right and walk two blocks to Marginal Street. The park entrance will be straight ahead across the street. Walk through the park toward the water and you will see our office building near the dock with the boats. (The walking time from the MBTA station is about 10 minutes.)
