The Pinellas County Extension, an extension of the University of Florida, provides an array of information and resources for county residents. Extension agents are available to answer questions regarding sustainable living, lawn care and gardening, horticulture, food, finance, health and nutrition, home maintenance, and more. The office also coordinates local 4-H programs. Part of the Pinewood Cultural Park campus, the extension office is located alongside the Florida Botanical Gardens, Heritage Village living history museum, and the Gulf Coast Museum of Art. The Pinellas County Master Gardeners assist in the maintenance of the Botanical Gardens. The extension office holds numerous classes and events annually for community at various locations.
