The
Pioneer Craft House is a place where modern-day families can go to learn the traditions and skills of the pioneers who settled the Salt Lake Valley.
Traditional arts and crafts such as tatting, jewelry making, weaving, knitting, quilting, spinning, basketry, and embroidery are taught at the Craft House to ensure that future generations have these skills to pass on to their children. Some other offerings include drawing/painting, book arts, photography, writing, and Ukrainian pysanky. Classes are available for all ages and skill levels, and there are even some
mommy/daddy 'n' me classes on the schedule. Call or check the website for a current class line-up.
Customizable craft parties are available by appointment, and are appropriate for
birthdays, girls' night out, family fun, and just about any other gathering that lends itself to crafting. Parties can be arranged for all ages and skill levels. The Craft House provides easy-to-complete projects and a souvenir for the guest of honor. Prices are quite affordable. Reserve at least two weeks in advance. Email
pioneerchs@gmail.com for details and prices.
