Just off Lincoln Boulevard to the east, nestled between Jefferson Boulevard and LMU, lies Playa Vista Sports Park. To many angelenos this entire neighborhood is new, known only as the Ballona Wetlands until the turn of the 21st century. While some of the wetlands have been preserved, other parts of the area have been developed into the Westside's newest desirable neighborhood.

At the heart of the neighborhood is Playa Vista Sports Park, which boasts a Shane's Inspiration Universally Accessible Playground. Although it has very little shade, proximity to the ocean keeps it from becoming unbearably hot in the summer, and the varied facilities can keep kids of all ages from getting bored for a good long while.

There is a large sports field adjacent, which hosts sports events, little league, and a summer concert series.
