The
winner of our 2008
Parents' Picks quest to find the
best library in Kansas City, this branch of the Kansas City Public Library is the first in the library system to be designed and built in and for the 21st Century with
wireless public computer access and a coffee shop.
There are designated
children's and teen's service areas and unobstructed views of the Plaza retail district and of Brush Creek. Comfortable chairs and tables are located throughout the branch for customers to read, write, study, or visit. Plus, the branch offers plenty of fun family events both in the children's area and in the spectacular Truman Forum auditorium downstairs.
The
Plaza Branch has particularly strong collections in children's resources, arts and crafts books, and business materials including large video, compact disc, and audio book collections.
