Local children acted as models for the large, colorful mural that greets visitors at the entrance to the Book Tower, the children's section of the Pleasant Hill Public Library, a facility that also features My Space, a new area just for teens. The library offers a wide array of programming for adults and kids - including weekly storytimes and craft-making, and summer entertainment - as well as books, magazines, puppets, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and even cake pans for checkout. Most items can be kept two weeks, and fines kick in after a five day grace period - though fines are waived for overdue materials returned on weekly Wednesday Amnesty Days.
