The Georgia Poison Control Center provides immediate assistance to parents who know or suspect their child has ingested a poisonous substance, or for callers who want information about environmental and toxicological concerns.
The control center is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by registered pharmacists and nurses certified in poison information. Access to the Language Line provides translation services in more than 140 languages, and services are available for the hearing impaired using telecommunications devices for the deaf (TDD).
