about Ponce de Leon Branch:

Located less than a mile from City Hall East, the Ponce de Leon Branch features a good collection of children's titles, including many picture books. The children's programs include weekly toddler and preschooler storytimes, as well as occasional Saturday craft programs. Check the branch website for the current events schedule, as they do not occur on a regular basis. Children under the age of 13 who want to register for a library card must have the library card application signed by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian must supply identification that shows the current residential address. By signing the child's application, the parent or guardian accepts the responsibility for all items borrowed on the child's library card. The child who is registering for the library card must be present or the parent must supply identification for the child.

tips:

After hitting storytime, stop by Fellini's Pizza for a kids cut slice.

getting there:

Bus #2/Ponce de Leon originates from the west at North Avenue Station (North rail line), goes eastbound along Ponce de Leon Avenue, and stops right across the street from the branch. Bus #16/Noble originates across from the main rail hub, Five Points Station downtown on Alabama Street. It goes along North Highland Avenue and stops at the corner of North Highland & Ponce de Leon. From this stop, walk west on Ponce to the corner of Frederica.
