Port Discovery, the Children's Museum in Baltimore offers three floors of interactive, educational exhibits and programs for children ages two to 10 years old.
If you can get your kids to try anything other than the marvelous three-story urban tree house, you will all be pleasantly surprised.
There is an indoor soccer field, the Royal Farms Convenience Store and Fill'er Up Station, a 50's style diner, many rooms for artistic and musical pursuits, an adventure leading kids through 1920's Egypt, and the wacky Miss Perception's Mystery House. Little ones, and tired ones, can visit a sensory room and the Oasis, which offers books and puzzles.
One of the most popular rooms is Wonders of Water, where kids can play with water chimes, build a fountain, pretend they are plumbers, play and design with boats and canals on the stream table, step in the bubble hoop, and more. Note: They will definitely get wet in Wonders of Water, but if you use the museum-provided slickers and crocs it won't be so bad!
