Powerhouse Community Center, as its name implies, originally provided power to the city but has since been converted to one of the most scenically located public buildings in San Diego. The center is on the edge of the ocean overlooking the beach, with an extensive grassy lawn on its side. In addition, the popular Powerhouse/Seagrove Park is just a short walk away. Public restrooms are accessible from the outside of the building, located under the stage area. Parking can be a challenge, especially on the weekends. If you're willing to pay for a spot, try the lot across the street from the center.
