about Precita Park:

A narrow, tilted strip of grass in the heart of Bernal Heights that's wide enough for a game of catch or frisbee. But the real draw is the jewel of a playground at one end. Once you've visited, you can see why it's so popular with local parents. The play area was designed with kids and parents in mind. Around the perimeter are benches, picnic tables, and stone steps that make it easy for moms and dads to gather. A few choice trees shade the sitters. And the sand on which the equipment is planted is clean enough for kids to kick off their shoes without making you too anxious. All in all, a happy city rest stop for families.

Before you head to the park, call and see if Precita Eyes Mural Center is open; it's right near the park.
