Prelude Music Classes for Children offers classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten children, and the grownups who love them. Parents share quality time with their children in a relaxed environment of song, dance, and play featuring the Music Together curriculum, a research-based early childhood music program.

Participants are treated to live classical instrument demonstrations, and can discover a wide variety of musical types and styles without the performance requirements of formal music lessons.

A soprano soloist with Mercury Baroque, music director Ana Trevino-Godfrey is a classically trained professional singer, currently finishing her Doctorate of Music at Rice University.

This class has been a wonderful opportunity for my son to express his musical passions in an environment that beautifully nutures it thanks to Ana, Jin Hi and the fun parents who attend.
This is NOT a hokey Gymboree type music class where music is never truly explored. This is a musical adventure that allows the child to grow a sincere appreciation for sound and rhythm.

This class has been wonderful for our toddler. He now knows the routines and even sings the songs at home. You can really tell the instructor has experience with kids and knows how to engage their little imaginations!

This is a great venue for your baby or toddler to 'come out of their shell', discover their innate musical sensibility and interact with other children. Our 22-month old daughter seriously loves this class and absolutely adores the accompanying music CDs--we have to play them all the time at home and in the car. The music assembled on the CDs is also high-quality and intelligent, combining melodic songs with rhythmic songs with traditional folkloric favorites. The instructor, Ana, is a momma herself and is wonderful with the kids. A sweet voice and a sweet woman.

My son is 11 months old and has been attending Ana's class for 5 months. He loves Ana and lights up every time he comes to class! It has been remarkable to see the growth in the babies' understanding and connection to the music- we attend a class that has several babies as well as toddlers. The highlight of our week!

Thanks to Ana's cheery, fun disposition, superior voice, and true love of children, my eldest daughter sings all day long and my baby is already developing a sense of rhythm! I cannot emphasize enough the QUALITY of this class....quality of teaching, singing, the instruments provided for the children to play and the musical selections sung in class and on the accompanying CDs. There is none of the cacophany of other kids' classes or CDs that I've experienced. Far and away the BEST music experience for young children in Houston!

My son has been attending Ana's class since he was only four months old, and our weekly trip to Prelude to Music is always a joy. He has developed a sense of rhythm and he's only eight months old! Ana is kind, enthusiastic, and tremendously gifted as a musician. We intend to continue with Prelude to Music for as long as Ana is offering the class.

Ana is phenomenal. The rapport she has with the kids is amazing. As soon as our 13 month old daughter pulls into the parking lot, she begins squealing with delight. Our daughter began with Ana at 3 months of age and quickly picked up on the music. She routinely recognizes the songs, sings along as well as she can, and dances right along. Far and away some of the best money we have ever spent on our daughter!

I think this is a great opportunity to get your child interested in music. I have noticed that ever since my daughter started going to the class, she has been singing and dancing all day long. Plus, it is a great time for your child to socialize with other children. Additionally, Ana (the teacher) is adorable and very carismatic.

I can't say enough about how much we love this music class. Ana is a beautiful singer and is so great with our kids. The music is not hokey like in so many children's classes. The parents and children have so much fun during class and it gives you ideas of how to bring music into your childs daily life. My 2 year old randomly sings songs from Ana's class throughout his day and frequently asks to sing with Ms. Ana.
