about Prospect Park Zoo:

Tunnel through a prairie dog town, master the language of baboons, create animal art. At The Wildlife Conservation Society's Prospect Park Zoo, kids meet all kinds of animals, without being overwhelmed by too much walking.

This kid-sized Wildlife Center in Prospect Park features three major exhibit areas, and nearly 400 animals of more than 93 species.

In the World of Animals, kids can interact directly with the natural world, as they leap across giant lily pads, or walk among kangaroos and wallabies. Animal Lifestyles exhibits let you peek into the lives and environments of fascinating species, including a troop of Hamadryas baboons. And in the Animals in our Lives building, children can observe and draw wildlife; outside, they can meet and feed friendly species.

Birthday parties can be held at the zoo year round, rain or shine. Partiers have access to a spacious party room, located in the Orientation Building, and live animal guests stop by to visit.

Check our calendar for kid-friendly events.
