Provo City Library is housed in a historic building that was saved from demolition by the residents and the City of Provo. The building now houses the library and various other organizations. The grand ballroom is regularly used for all types of events. Several family-friendly activities take place at the library, including Friday night movies, story times, cultural events, Monday night at the Library, and more. The library has a computer lab, and sponsors numerous reading programs for kids and adults alike.
All residents of Provo and Orem can obtain a free library card; bring a photo ID and proof of permanent address.
