Grades: K-5
Admissions: Neighborhood school
It's no coincidence that writers, like Susan Cheever, have chosen this school for their children; writing is the emphasis here, and children are writing all the time. Classes are large, but the rooms are cheerful and welcoming. There is no gym, however (though the block is closed off for daily recess), and the cafeteria is dark on the brightest days.
