The popular PS 87 Afterschool Program offers afterschool classes during the school year as well as summer and holiday camps. Attending PS 87 is not a prerequisite; all children are welcome.
Classes offered include Animation, Fencing, Bloody Shakespeare, MacKids, Magic, Comics, Cooking, Music Ensemble, Scienterrific Kids, Filmmaking, French, Kids Creative's Create-a-Play, Shining Star Musical Theater, and more.
While the program is based at PS 87, several classes take place off site such as skating in Lasker Rink or The Rink at Rockefeller Center, Adventures at the Museum of Natural History, and Park programs in Central Park and Riverside Park. All classes leave and return from the school.
Holiday camps offers kids ages the opportunity to explore unique daily themes through activities in the morning at PS 87, and trips around the city in the afternoon. Each day boasts a different theme including Film & TV, Science, Art, and Sports. Sign up for single days, or register for the whole week and get a discount.
All programs are fully insured and professionally managed.
