about Puppet Showplace Theatre:
A favorite of little theater-goers, the Puppet Showplace Theatre is a perfect place to introduce your children to the world of make believe.
Puppets of all kinds are part of wonderfully imaginative shows. The theater boasts a resident company but also hosts many guest troupes. Performances are held on Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 3pm. Shows are recommended for children five and older. Preschoolers ages 3-5 are treated to shows especially for them on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30am (and on Sundays at 1pm in the summer); a lifesaver when you need a morning of entertainment.
Parties: Because you can reserve tickets in advance, it's a favorite among parents frantic to find a new birthday party venue. The colorful lobby can be rented for a party following a public performance, or they can arrange a private birthday show and party.
Puppet workshops are available at other prearranged times, to interested groups. Call for more information.
tips:
Popular shows tend to sell out early. Reservations are recommended.

In the Square, turn left after the bus station on Brookline Ave which goes over the Turnpike, past the back of Fenway Park, past Simmons & Wheelock Colleges, past the hospitals, crossing the Riverway several bloacks before reaching Rt. 9 (West). Bear right at big intersection facing the apartment complex. Drive under the footbridge and turn right crossing the bridge over the T tracks.
