The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the Best Indoor Playspace/Partyspace for Little Kids in Brooklyn, Puppetworks was founded to preserve and present classic puppet theater entertainment, with special emphasis on the hand-carved wooden marionette. Its plays are as faithful as possible, in language and situations, to source material, primarily children's literature and international folk and fairytales.

Puppetworks also offers space for private birthday parties, on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:45pm-6:15pm, for up to 50 guests (children and adults combined). Kids see whatever show is currently playing, and Puppetworks provides clean-up...you do everything else. The cost is $400 for two and a half hours, which begins with a 15-minute set-up time at 3:45pm; guest arrival at 4pm; and curtain by 4:30pm. Shows are generally over by 5:15pm, whereupon guests can celebrate until 6:15pm. ny additional time costs $25 per half hour. A $100 deposit is required to secure the desired date.
