The Queens County Farm Museum is the only working historical farm in New York City. The 47 acre site includes the 18th century Dutch-flavored Adriance farmhouse, a greenhouse complex, barns, and various outbuildings.
The planting fields, orchard, herb garden, and livestock give kids a real taste of what the farm experience might have been like, and the Museum hosts a variety of public events throughout the year.
The farmstand is open seasonally and offers farm fresh produce. The plant shop in the greenhouse sells a large variety of house and garden plants.
The Farm Museum and the Samuel Field YM-YWHA host a unique summer camp program for children entering first through fifth grades. A full six-week farm program and flexible mini-sessions are available, and workshops include photography, science, nature, cooking, arts/crafts, and farming.
