About Quiet Waters Park
As of Oct. 1, 2009, the park is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays due to budget constraints. Check the Broward County website for additional details.
Quiet Waters Park - winner of our 2009 Parents' Picks award for best local playground/park - is loaded with fun activities. A lot of them involve water, so it makes a great choice for cooling off on a hot summer day. At this park, you can swim, fish, canoe, water-ski, camp, picnic, enjoy a playground, mountain bike, or play in an awesome water playground called Splash Adventure.
Canoes and paddleboats are available for rental. Children under 12 years need to be with a grown up when renting and using the boats.
The campground offers a rent-a-tent package where you can use a camp site with a tent or tepee already set up - what a great concept!
A five mile intermediate mountain biking trail is available for enthusiasts.
Pavilions are available for rental for parties.
Water-skiing is offered year round, Tuesdays to Sundays from 10am-7pm (exception to this is holiday Mondays, when the facility is also open). For an all-inclusive hour (all of the equipment is supplied) you pay $15. Skiers need to be at least 12 years old, and those under 18 need to have a grown up with them for their water adventure. For more information, call Ski-Rixen at 954.429.0215.
Splash Adventure is a water playground in 18 inches of water that's great for little kids. There are small slides, tunnels, and other water toys to make your time there very splashy! Use of Splash Adventure is $4.50 per person per one-hour-and-fifty-minute session.
There is an extravaganza of a playground that is shaded as well as wheelchair accessible. There are two swing sets nearby which are neither shaded nor wheelchair accessible - but certainly make for an abundance of swings for babies through older kids. The climbing and sliding equipment is also geared for a range of ages from toddlers on up.
