Radial is a funky breakfast/brunch/lunch spot with arguably the most inventive and delicious offerings of this kind in town. The restaurant offers a full kids menu, and children have plenty to love here. Omelets, thick challah french toast, buckwheat pancakes, and more fill out a menu known also for weekly out-there specials like oreo french toast and cornbread pancakes. The weekend brunch menu has plenty of salads, soups and sandwiches, and classics like burgers and roast beef sandwiches. But vegetarians have a wide range of choices, too, beyond the basic portobello mushroom sandwich.
There is lots of eye candy in the restaurant as well - each month the walls features two new local artists. Sign up for the email list to be invited to artist receptions and get coupons.

tips:
Radial has recently expanded seating, both inside and on the patio, but on weekends, there's still a wait for a table at peak times. Go before the kids are starving!
getting there:
Radial is located halfway between downtown Atlanta and downtown Decatur in a formerly industrial corridor on Dekalb Avenue. Traveling MARTA, it's just west of the Candler Park Station.
