Located in the heart of the downtown Minneapolis business and retail district, the Radisson Plaza Hotel is connected to the skyway system, and within easy walking distance of shopping, dining, sports, theater, and nightlife. Spacious guest rooms (on average, more than 300 sq. ft.) include a king or two double beds, a desk area, three telephones, free high-speed internet access, a television with remote and on-demand movies and games, a CD player/alarm clock, coffee/coffeemaker, hairdryer, iron/ironing board, and a marble-floored bath with personal amenities. There's a well-equipped on-site fitness center with a great view, but no pool. (Hotel guests can access the YMCA pool two blocks away with purchase of a $10 single-use pass.) Pets are allowed; check with the hotel for details. The on-site Fire Lake Grill House serves up Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, but other dining options abound nearby.

There's a farmer's market from 5th to 10th Street along Nicollet Mall, adjacent to the hotel, on Thursdays and Saturdays from May through October.

getting there:

Between Nicollet and Hennepin Avenues. Metro Transit's Trip Planner can map any route for you, and the Hiawatha Light Rail line connects downtown to the Mall of America and the airport. If you must bring a car, parking is available in the heated Plaza II ramp beneath the hotel (enter on Seventh Street; $5-$16 per day). The hotel offers valet parking for $20 per day.
