I like Rancho's for its festive, casual feel, enormous menu item selection, and reasonable prices. I am not a parent, but I am the oldest of 5 kids, and there is something here for everyone! Enchiladas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, soups, tortas, etc. made with your choice of meats, cheese, soy, and/ or vegetable. As a vegetarian, I am unaccustomed to so many choices, it's great, I can get tofu, soy cheese, soy chorizo, eggplant, nopales (cactus), tortilla soup with avocado on top, yum! They have nice fresh fruit smoothies, too. As far as food quality, the dishes are tasty, not AMAZING or gourmet, but still very good and satisfying. Portions are pretty generous. A la carte items are not large, but at ~$3 a pop, you can order more than one per person (although one is totally sufficient for a young child). p.s., the salsa they bring you is likely too spicy for most kids.
