The Rancho San Diego Library opened in April 2002 to become the County's 32nd branch. The medium-sized library offers books, DVDs, and CDs, computer access to the Internet, wireless Internet access for personal laptops, word processing programs for reports and letter writing, and online catalogs to search for material. A coffee shop is also located inside the library lobby.
Ongoing events for children include:
Grandparents and Books, held every Monday morning from 10am-12n;
Toddler Storytime, held every Tuesday at 10:15am;
Preschool Storytime, held every Tuesday at 11:15am;
Wii Days for Kids for elementary school children, held every Tuesday at 2:30pm;
Peek-a-Book Baby Storytime, held every Thursday at 10:30am;
Yu-Gi-Oh Club (bring your own decks), held every Friday at 3:30pm;
Family Craft Day, held every 3rd Saturday from 2pm-3pm.
Programs for teens and adults are plentiful as well.
