The largest water park in South Florida, the 22-acre Rapids Water Park offers plenty of family fun. Lounge in a tube around the Lazy River, catch a wave in the 25,000 square foot Wave Pool, or take a wet ride down any of 17 water slides, including the newest (and biggest!) one, Big Thunder. Even toddlers can grab some action in the Tadpool, a wading pool with a tree trunk water slides and floating swamp animals to play on.
Rapids Water Park is fully staffed with Red Cross certified lifeguards to ensure safe fun for everyone. The park provides personal floatation devices (PFDs) at no charge. PFDs brought into the park must be approved before use.
No outside food is allowed in, but the park offers two full-service snack bars offering plenty of the usual burger-chicken-pizza-hot dog fare as well as ice cream and sno-cones. And if you forget your sunscreen, they can help you out there, too.
Rapids makes a great birthday party outing. Special rates available for groups of ten or more.

tips:
Height and weight restrictions apply to certain rides. Appropriate swimwear is required. No thongs, G-strings or denim shorts are allowed.
The park has numerous picnic tables set up just outside the entrance gates, many of which are in full shade. So, if the idea of another snack bar meal doesn't appeal, pack a picnic and take a break for lunch at one of the tables. Re-admittance is a breeze.
getting there:
Rapids Water Park is located one mile west of I-95 on Military between 45th Street (exit 74) and Blue Heron Blvd. (exit 76) in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The Rapids can also be easily accessed from the Florida Turnpike exits of Okeechobee Blvd./West Palm Beach (exit 99) and PGA Blvd./Palm Beach Gardens (exit 109).
